Blue Bells Falls

Refugees tell monstrous tales

The Enemy hordes overran nearby Blue Bells earlier this week, and survivors trickling into Rising Sun tell monstrous tales of enemy atrocities. One eyewitness described a scene of terror as the fallen --- both friend and foe alike --- rose again to rejoin the battle against the living, under sway of the Troll-lords. This fantastic story has yet to be confirmed.

What is certain is that the enemy has no mercy; those who aren't eaten by the savages are forced into slave labor or conscripted into the enemy ranks.

Taverns in the Frowen quarter, already full with refugees from Gifron and nearby Frowen villages, are now overflowing with refugees from Blue Bells.

Reinforcements from Fenwyck

Mayor Abbottson has expressed optimism that Rising Sun will stand fast against the Enemy, with aid from Fenwyck. A regiment of 2,000 is expected to arrive within days, and break the siege by the Ogre bands and Frowen rebels camped outside our city.

The enemy is not unbeatable!

Our brave soldiers and citizens have repulsed the surprising winter assault on Rising Sun. Now under siege, we must double our resolve and stand fast together in the knowledge that we will emerge from this trial victorious!

Western rampart nearly complete

The western rampart, built by the Engineers' Corps under direction of Master Watkyn, is nearly complete and will protect the town against further attack across the frozen lake.

Curfew & rationing

Reminder: Curfew is still in effect from dusk to dawn. All citizens are reminded to remain indoors in their homes during curfew hours. Transgressors are subject to jailing and a fine.

Rationing begins today, with city guards to enforce collection and distribution of supplies. Captain Aschl promises that ``hoarders are agents of the Enemy and will be dealt with severely.''
